Upper Deck to give out free trading cards Saturday

In conjunction with Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday, Upper Deck will distribute free trading cards across North America.
Upper Deck, the NHL and the NHL Players' Association are partnering with hobby shops to give away the cards.

Saturday is National Hockey Card Day and almost 500 trading card shops will take part in the promotion, giving away close to 300,000 packs of cards in North America hobby shops and 40,000 nine-card sheets in Canada.

National Hockey Card Day has been credited with getting new fans into the hobby of card collecting. Fans can go to shops in different locations in order to complete the set of cards.
