Crouse extended it to 3-1 on a power play at 1:19 of the third period from a sharp angle before Pettersson cut it to 3-2 at 11:41 with a wrist shot from the right circle.
"We're playing determined hockey right now and having lots of fun with it, and everyone's contributing," Crouse said. "Our defense did a great job, the [penalty kill], the power play. It was just an overall great team win."
Arizona was 5-for-5 on the penalty kill, including 3-for-3 in the first period, and 2-for-3 with the man-advantage.
"In the second period, they took it to us for sure," Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes said. "All those power plays put us to sleep, and we didn't score on them. So, I don't know if that was momentum. … And when you get down by two in the third period, you're not going to come back every time."
Vancouver, which entered Thursday ranked 10th in the NHL on the power play (22.7 percent), had 11 shots on goal with the man-advantage.
"Yeah, the power play wasn't good. We had those three power plays [in the first], and we got that [even-strength] goal, and maybe we thought it was going to be easy," Tocchet said. "They're a hard-working team, they outworked us plain and simple, and we were 0-for-5 on the power play."
