Brayden-McNabb

Defenseman Brayden McNabb signed a four-year, $10 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday.
The contract runs through the 2021-22 NHL season with an average annual value of $2.5 million. The 26-year-old could have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2018.

"We thought this would hopefully be the first of several extensions for him and we're delighted to have him under contract for the next four years," general manager George McPhee told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "He's a very good fit for us. We're excited about his growth. He will be a core member of this hockey club going forward."
McNabb has two assists, is plus-10 and leads the Golden Knights with 56 hits and 52 blocked shots in 20 games. He is one of six players in the NHL who have more than 50 hits and 50 blocked shots this season.
McNabb has 52 points (seven goals, 45 assists) in 257 NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres, Los Angeles Kings and Golden Knights.
He was selected by Vegas from Los Angeles in the NHL Expansion Draft on June 21.
"Brayden has performed extremely well," McPhee said. "He's a big man (6-foot-4, 212 pounds). He's played against other clubs' top forwards and really shut them down and done an excellent job on the penalty kill. And we feel he still has a lot of room for growth."
