The Islanders return home after managing a split on a two-game road trip that concluded with a 6-2 win at the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
Goalie Jaroslav Halak will make his second straight start; he has won his past three. New York has won five of its past six games.

Players to watch

Golden Knights goalie Oscar Dansk has won his first three starts since taking over for Marc-Andre Fleury and Malcolm Subban, who are injured. Dansk made 32 saves for his first NHL shutout in a 7-0 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and was named the League's Second Star for the week ending Oct. 29.
Islanders center John Tavares, named the League's First Star, has two hat tricks in his past three games, including a natural hat trick Saturday. Tavares is third in the League with nine goals this season.

Theodore was recalled from Chicago of the American Hockey League and is expected to join the Golden Knights for the game.
