Cotter parents

If Paul Cotter turned the puck over during Thursday's game at the United Center, he'd probably have to duck.

The Vegas Golden Knights forward had his parents in the stands at the United Center on Thursday and they had some great seats.
"I told his grandma I'm close enough to smack him!" Cotter's dad, Paul, joked to NHL.com.
Lisa and Paul Cotter drove four hours from his hometown in Canton, Michigan to Chicago to cheer on their son against the Blackhawks.
The proud parents had seats right next to the Golden Knights bench, where they posed for a picture with their son before the game.

"It's such a thrill," Lisa said. "Being so close to the bench and to the game is amazing."
