Reid Duke made history Monday when he became
the first player signed by the Vegas Golden Knights
. But who is he?
Here are some facts about Duke:

* He was born in Calgary on Jan. 1, 1996.
* He has 67 points (35 goals, 32 assists) in 54 games with Brandon of the Western Hockey League this season.
* Duke, 21, was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round (No. 169) of the 2014 NHL Draft. He never signed with them and became an unrestricted free agent.

Duke-Wheat Kings

* He has an older brother, Kelly, 23, who never was drafted into the NHL. He last played with the High River Flyers of Heritage Junior Hockey League in 2011-12.
* In 2010-11, he had 64 points (28 goals, 36 assists) in 30 games for the Calgary Royals Bantam AAA team in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.
* Duke started his junior career with Lethbridge, which selected him with the fifth pick of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. He was traded to Brandon on Sept. 30, 2014.
* He moved ahead of Reid Duke, an "American Magic: The Gathering" player, on Google search on Monday.

Duke-Golden Knights

* He joins Greg Gardner and Steve Aronson as the latest entries on the list of first players in franchise history. On May 4, 2000, the Columbus Blue Jackets made Gardner, a goalie from Niagara University, their first player. On the same day, the Wild signed Aronson, a forward from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Gardner and Aronson each played in the American Hockey League, but neither made it to the NHL.
