The Golden Knights were
without their coaching staff
for a 5-4 shootout loss to the Blues on Tuesday due to protocols related to COVID-19. The usual Vegas staff is coach Peter DeBoer; assistants Ryan Craig, Ryan McGill and Steve Spott; goaltending coach Mike Rosati; and video coach Tommy Cruz.
Vegas general manager Kelly McCrimmon coached that game, assisted by the staff of Henderson of the American Hockey League.
The NHL said the decision to postpone the game was made by NHL, NHL Players' Association and Golden Knights medical groups after recent tests warranted more caution while the NHL continues to analyze test results in the coming days.
The NHL said the Golden Knights training facilities will be closed until further notice.
The rescheduled date for the game has not been announced.
The Blues (4-2-1) are next scheduled to play at the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. The Golden Knights (5-1-1) are scheduled to play the San Jose Sharks in Glendale, Arizona, on Monday.
Seven NHL games have been postponed since the season began, with two others postponed prior to the start.
