Hedman, Callahan could be sidelined until playoffs

NEW YORK --The Tampa Bay Lightning might be without defenseman Victor Hedman and forward Ryan Callahan for the two games remaining in the regular season.
Hedman and Callahan were scratched from a 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Tuesday. Hedman has an upper-body injury, and Callahan has a lower-body injury. Each is considered day-to-day.

"I can't sit here and say if they're going to be back for the rest of the regular season or not," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "They might be. They might not be. We'll give them a little rest here [Wednesday] and re-evaluate on Thursday."
The Lightning, who clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, play at the New Jersey Devils on Thursday and the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. The playoffs begin April 13.
Defenseman Slater Koekkoek and forward Jonathan Marchessault played for Hedman and Callahan on Tuesday.
The Lightning were already without defenseman Anton Stralman (fractured left fibula) and center Steven Stamkos (surgery to repair a blood clot).
Hedman has 10 goals and 37 assists in 78 games this season. He did not play the final 5:28 against the New York Islanders on Monday.
Callahan has 10 goals and 18 assists in 73 games. He was out from March 18 until March 31, and played 17:19 against the Islanders.
