NEW YORK - St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Sobotka has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp during NHL Game No. 93 in St. Louis on Wednesday, Oct. 18, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 14:40 of the third period. Sobotka was assessed a double-minor penalty for high-sticking.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
