St. Louis Blues:They lead the NHL with 21 wins since Jan. 1 and are second in points (44) over the span behind the Boston Bruins (45). Right wing Vladimir Tarasenko is tied for fifth with 36 points (17 goals, 19 assists) in 29 games since Jan. 1, mostly skating on an underrated top line with forwards Ryan O'Reilly and Brayden Schenn. After a slow start, defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is tied for seventh at the position with 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in 30 games since Jan. 1. Defenseman Colton Parayko hasn't produced over the same span but remains a quality fantasy playoff streaming option with 76 shots on goal (8th among defensemen).
Goalie Jordan Binnington is tied for first in the NHL with 16 wins since Jan. 1 with Martin Jones (San Jose Sharks), Andrei Vasilevskiy (Tampa Bay Lightning) and Darcy Kuemper (Arizona Coyotes). Binnington is also tied with Vasilevskiy for the most shutouts (five) over the span. Backup Jake Allen has played better recently, going 4-2-1 with a .931 save percentage and two shutouts in his past seven games. With viable options at each position, the Blues should remain a top 10 fantasy team for the remainder of the season.
Edmonton Oilers: Goalie Mikko Koskinen is 6-1-1 with a .933 save percentage and one shutout in his past eight games. He has rejoined NHL.com's top 200 rankings and is nearing the 25 best at the position. With favorable matchups against the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers next week, fantasy owners should consider streaming Koskinen.
Elite forwards Connor McDavid (116) and Leon Draisaitl (103) are each on pace to finish with over 100 points. Forward Zack Kassian has been a nice addition to the top line with four goals and 12 SOG in four games with McDavid and Draisaitl. If the lineup placement sticks, fantasy owners in deeper leagues should roster Kassian for forward depth and hits coverage (161). Defenseman Darnell Nurse has re-emerged as a quality streaming option with five points (one goal, four assists) and a plus-2 in his past five games, averaging 23:07 per game in the span. Nurse also brings exposure to McDavid and Draisaitl on the top power play and should be rostered in most formats.
