Schneider

Each week during the regular season, NHL.com has you covered with an overview of the fantasy goaltender landscape. With production trends, injury news and top 25 rankings based on performance and upside in standard Yahoo leagues, fantasy owners should use this information as a basis for roster decision-making.

Impact of Schneider returning for Devils

New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider is expected to start on the road against the Florida Panthers on Thursday (7:30 p.m. ET; FS-F, MSG+, NHL.TV). He has missed the past 16 games because of a lower-body injury.
Schneider (77 percent owned in Yahoo) re-enters NHL.com's top 20 fantasy goalies with the Devils in Stanley Cup Playoff position. New Jersey has 19 games remaining, 16 against contending teams, but Schneider (17-11-6, .913 save percentage) is still worth owning in most formats. Backup Keith Kinkaid (21 percent) went 8-4-0 with a .913 SV% in 12 games during Schneider's absence, with depth goalies Ken Appleby and Eddie Lack also seeing playing time.
Worth noting: Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson (87th in Yahoo) is expected to start against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. He has missed the past three games because of a lower-body injury.
