TRENDING UP

David Rittich, CGY -- In the past six games, Rittich and Mike Smith have alternated starts for the Calgary Flames. Rittich (25 percent owned) has allowed four goals and has a shutout in those three games and is 5-1-0 with a 1.91 goals-against average and .935 save percentage, much better than Smith (5-6-1, 3.51 GAA, .877 SV%)
Carter Hutton, BUF -- Hutton has won two of his past three starts for the Buffalo Sabres and has allowed three goals or fewer in 11 of his 13 starts. Hutton (2.65 GAA, .916 SV%) is benefitting from an improved Sabres offense and is entrenched in the starting role. Backup Linus Ullmark (6 percent owned) is 3-0-1 with a 2.79 GAA and .916 SV%.
Chad Johnson, STL - Prior to Thursday when Jake Allen started and made 18 saves in a 1-0 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks, Johnson (16 percent owned) had started three straight games for the St. Louis Blues. Johnson (2.08 GAA, .927 SV%) clearly is outperforming Allen (3.73 GAA, .883 SV%), but it remains to be seen how their time will be divided up.

TRENDING DOWN

Cam Talbot, EDM -- The Edmonton Oilers have lost four straight, and Talbot hasn't looked sharp in that time. He's allowed at least three goals in four straight starts and has a GAA over 3.00 (3.09) and a SV% under .900 (.895). Backup Mikko Koskinen is 4-1-0 with a 2.52 GAA, .918 SV% and one shutout and is readily available (10 percent owned).
Ben Bishop, DAL- The Dallas Stars defense was already a question mark before losing John Klingberg to injury. Bishop has allowed at least three goals in four of his past five starts to see his GAA rise to 2.61. He has six wins in 12 decisions but doesn't offer much in terms of SV% or shutouts. Bishop and backup Anton Khudobin have alternated starts over the past eight games, so Bishop hasn't had consistent playing time either.
