'Welcome to the NHL' draft special to debut on July 22

NEW YORK - - "Welcome to the NHL," a one-hour special offering exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the top prospects in the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft in Montreal, will premiere on Friday, July 22 on ESPN+ and NHL Network in the U.S. and on Saturday, July 23 on Sportsnet in Canada. Produced by NHL Original Productions, cameras will follow five top prospects - Juraj Slafkovsky (No. 1 overall, Montreal Canadiens), Logan Cooley (No. 3 overall, Arizona Coyotes), Shane Wright (No. 4 overall, Seattle Kraken), Christian Kyrou (No. 50 overall, Dallas Stars) and Jeremy Langlois (94, Arizona Coyotes) - as they interact with their families, advisers and Club executives for an unprecedented look at the excitement of draft day.

"Welcome to the NHL" will chronicle each player's exciting and anxious day, from their arrival to Bell Centre with their supportive family, friends and advisors in tow to the crowning moment their name is called. The program will follow them as they are introduced to their new NHL team, including executives, media and fans.
