Jets lead best-of-7 series 1-0
NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators will try to get even in the Western Conference Second Round when they host the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2 at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday.

The Jets won 4-1 in Game 1 of the best-of-7 series and are aiming to win the first two games of a Stanley Cup Playoff series on the road for the first time in franchise history. Nashville has never won a series after losing Game 1.
Here are 5 keys for Game 2:
RELATED: [Complete Predators vs. Jets series coverage]

1. Hellebuyck vs. Rinne

Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was the star of Game 1 with 47 saves after ending the first round against the Minnesota Wild with two consecutive shutouts. Hellebuyck is 5-1 with a 1.77 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in the playoffs. If he can continue his strong play, the Jets will be hard to beat.
The Predators pulled Pekka Rinne after the second period in Game 1. He made 13 saves on 16 shots, but coach Peter Laviolette is sure he'll bounce back.
"[Rinne] will be ready," Laviolette said. "He's a world-class goalie. He's been the backbone of this franchise for a long time. He's been through a lot of wars and a lot of battles.''

2. More offensive zone time for Jets

The Jets were outshot 48-19 in Game 1 and spent a lot of time in their defensive zone. Although they weren't displeased with how they played, they know they must spend more time attacking in Game 2.
"I think they were trying to get pucks to the net and trying to get bodies to the net," forward Blake Wheeler said. "When a team is trying to shoot everything from everywhere, there's only so much you can do. I think your goal then is to have your three guys down low be really strong. I think our three guys were excellent at boxing guys out and limiting their second-chance opportunities. … That's why we'll take guys like Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele, who only need one shot."

3. Predators need more traffic

The Predators generated a lot of shots and shot attempts in Game 1. But they did not get a lot of tips, rebounds and screens. They need more in Game 2.
"It's about getting shots through and then getting people on the puck after it gets through, whether it be retrievals, rebounds, stuff like that," forward Austin Watson said. "We shot the puck a lot, and that's good. We had a lot of shot attempts, and that's what we talk about throughout the year -- shooting the puck as much as possible and good things are going to happen from it."

4. Scheifele stepping up

Center Mark Scheifele, the first player drafted by the Jets after the franchise moved from Atlanta to Winnipeg in 2011, has been their best offensive player in its first six playoff games. He scored twice in Game 1 and leads the Jets with six goals in as many games, including five in the past three.
"It's just the way the game goes," he said of his scoring surge. "When you get chances, sometimes you get lucky. The guys I'm playing with make it easy. [Blake Wheeler] and [Kyle Connor] are pretty phenomenal players, so that makes it easy. You just want to continue to play a solid game. It's all about playing both ends, playing 200 feet of hockey. If you play good [defense], it creates good offense."

5. Predators keep cool

The Predators don't seem to be worried after losing Game 1. They are relying on the experiences they've gained in the playoffs during the past four seasons and don't want their emotions to swing too much.
"You've got to stay the path and keep working hard and be humble," defenseman Mattias Ekholm said. "I think that's something that you really learn over the years."
