Describe your job in 2-3 sentences:To oversee areas of player development at all levels of the organization. Very simply, our job is to help players improve in all facets of the game.
What was the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?
First career I dreamed of having as a kid was to be an NHL player for the Edmonton Oilers. Secondly, I wanted to be a doctor.
What was your first-ever job, and did it prepare you for the work you do today?
First-ever job I had a paper route and it was hard work. I had to do it every day after school and be on time. I had to do it even when the weather was poor and so it has prepared me today for doing things that I don't always want to do.
What is a quality you admire most in others (personal or professional)?
The quality I admire most in others is to follow through. Do what you say, say what you're going to do. So, actions speak louder than words, I would say.
Describe a moment where you proudly thought to yourself, "I can't believe this is my job!"
The first day I stepped on the ice with the players when I started with the Leafs. Having retired and then being able to step on the ice with some of the best players in the world was probably the greatest thing.
If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be and why?
I would like to be an expert in medicine then I would not have had to have gone through all this schooling!
