The World Cup of Hockey 2016 begins Saturday in Toronto, and the majority of NHL.com, LNH.com and NHL.com International staff members covering the tournament believe the home country will come out on top.
Team Canada, which plays its first game Saturday against Team Czech Republic (8 p.m. ET; ESPNEWS, SN, TVA Sports), was picked by eight of the 11 staff members to win the World Cup.
Dan Rosen, Arpon Basu and Tom Gulitti picked Team Sweden to win and chose defenseman Erik Karlsson as the most valuable player of the tournament.
