Youppi! is an institution in Montreal and this weekend the Canadiens iconic mascot will work an event he never has before.
Youppi! will be a guest at Montreal Comic-Con in the city's Convention Centre from Friday-Sunday. He will unveil a costume and plans to join the cosplay community, those who dress up as their favorite character from movies, comic books or video games. The Canadiens, who have had Youppi! as their mascot since 2005, would not reveal what character he would be dressed as but gave fans a chance to guess Thursday in a Twitter poll.

Canadiens fans in attendance will not only get to have their picture taken with their favorite team's mascot dressed in a costume, but also can receive a free Canadiens cape. Members of Montreal's fan club, the 1909 Club, also will receive more free stuff.
