The 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft from the Bell Centre in Montreal has concluded.
The Edmonton Oilers selected Seattle Thunderbirds and Spruce Grove, AB product Reid Schaefer with the 32nd-overall pick to close out the first round of the Draft after acquiring the pick from the Arizona Coyotes in a package that included forward Zack Kassian, the 27th-overall selection and two picks in 2024 and 2025.
The Oilers had three in Rounds 2-7 of the draft, selecting Swedish goaltender Samuel Jonsson 158th overall (fifth round), Russian defenceman Nikita Yevseyev 190th overall (sixth round), and Finnish centre Joel Määttä 222nd overall (seventh round).
