The 2023 NHL Skills competition took place on Friday night with McDavid and Draisaitl both compete in Accuracy Shooting while Stuart Skinner competed in the Tendy Tandem.
McDavid had the fastest time to hit all four targets in the contest taking only 9.497 seconds to hit all four targets in Round 1 of the Accuracy shooting contest. Unfortunately for the Oilers captain, he would finish just half a second behind Flames forward Nazem Kadri in the Round 2 of the competition and was eliminated despite not missing a target in either round.
Stuart Skinner was paired up with Vegas Golden Knights goalie Logan Thompson for the Tendy Tandem event, finishing second to fellow Western Conference rivals Connor Hellebuyck and Juuse Saros.
