ST. LOUIS, MO - The Oilers are likely to have their captain and leading scorer back in the lineup tomorrow against the St. Louis Blues as Connor McDavid is feeling "a lot better" after missing Monday's game in Dallas.
McDavid missed the team's morning skate yesterday, and though Head Coach Ken Hitchcock was hopeful he'd be able to suit up against the Stars, the decision was ultimately made to give the two-time defending Ted Lindsay Award winner some recovery time.
"I thought maybe I might play but it was better to get some rest," he said following Tuesday's practice in St. Louis in which he participated fully. "You never like to (miss a game) but ultimately I thought rest was the better option."
