EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers line of Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Strome and Jujhar Khaira combined for five points in the Oilers win on Monday.
On Tuesday, Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan was asked about the chemistry budding between the line.
"We were scrambling to find wingers that could play with our centremen when we went to the three centre model," McLellan started. "We shuffled some players around and both JJ and Stromer were challenged to take their games up. Leon was a good complement to those two.
"They all have size, they have a skill level. JJ's protected puck and created plays consistently, Leon with his vision and now Strome is getting more active in and around the paint and shooting pucks. It's a good combination and for the most part, we can trust them defensively as well."
