Although unsigned, Chris Kelly will remain with the Oilers for the time being.
"We got 24 players but he's not signed," said Oilers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Peter Chiarelli. "We're going with the roster as is right now with the 23 players you see. And then Chris is unsigned."
Chiarelli plans to keep the former Bruin close to the club and provided reasoning for the decision.
"I've talked to Chris about sticking around and I'll have another talk with him," he said. "He's shown he can play in the League. He's a very smart player, character player.
"He's going to be sticking around and we'll play that day-by-day too."
