EDMONTON, AB - Cooper Marody could use a break.
The former University of Michigan forward has had a whirlwind few weeks, going from competing in the NCAA Frozen Four to signing with the Oilers and making his pro debut with the Bakersfield Condors.
"It's been crazy but it's been really fun," Marody said on Wednesday in his exit interview. "I know it was a really tough decision leaving Michigan but the opportunity here is just so great. I'm so excited about it and glad I could get three games down here."
In playing three American Hockey League games - notching a goal and two assists - the 6-foot-0, 173-pound centre got a glimpse of what the 2018-19 campaign could look like. He gained an assessment of where his play is at and who he could become linemates with.
