BLOG: McDavid, Draisaitl earn votes in NHLPA Player Poll

Roughly 500 skaters were surveyed on 14 hockey-related questions for the 2020-21 National Hockey League Players' Association Player Poll, which covers topics such as on-ice skill, off-ice personality and more.
Connor McDavid received 36.74 percent of votes as the one skater (at any position) players would want on their team in a must-win match. The Oilers Captain was an offensive dynamo and game-changer during the regular season with 33 goals, 72 assists and 105 points over 56 games. No. 97 also tallied 11 game-winning markers, 68 even-strength points and had more assists than any player had points, aside from teammate Leon Draisaitl.
McDavid is in a class of his own in the scoring category but when it comes to the stick-handling department, the 24-year-old earned the second-most amount of acclaim. Patrick Kane takes the cake in that respect, earning a convincing 49.48 percent of 477 votes as the League's greatest stick-handler, while McDavid received 25.79 percent.
The three-time Art Ross Trophy winner also got honourable mention as the NHL's best goal-scorer (4.56 percent of 482 votes) and was rated the fourth-most complete player (7.22 percent of 471 votes).
