Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan provided another update on defenceman Matt Benning Monday.
"He was close to skating today," said the Oilers bench boss. "He doesn't have a broken foot or a broken leg. He took a shot and there's a little bit of swelling.
"Will he play tomorrow? We'll see how he is in the morning. But I expect him to be on the ice tomorrow and as the week goes on."
Benning was injured in the Oilers 4-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
"If he doesn't play tomorrow, he'll certainly be available to us whenever we play again."
