EDMONTON, AB - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was a full participant during Monday morning's skate at Rogers Place as the Oilers took part in a pre-flight practice before departing to Vancouver for Tuesday night's road game against the Canucks.
Nugent-Hopkins centred the third line between Brendan Perlini and Zack Kassian, with Head Coach Dave Tippett saying during his media availability that the 28-year-old is expected to return to action from a lower-body injury against the Canucks if he gets the green light following the Oilers pre-game skate on Tuesday.
"His first day as a full participant," the bench boss said. "We'll skate tomorrow morning and make the final call, but that's the first day he's put lots of pressure on and gone through [practice] fully. If we think he's not going to take a step back tomorrow or isn't sore tomorrow, then he could be a player tomorrow. We'll make that decision tomorrow morning."
