EDMONTON, AB - The hockey world, in particular the Oilers organization and Edmonton sports community, lost an iconic figure on Monday as Joey Moss passed away at the age of 57.
Moss was the team's locker room attendant for more than 30 years after Wayne Gretzky met him and brought him aboard during the 1984-85 season. Past and present Oilers players, as well as players and alumni from across the NHL, tweeted their memories and condolences for the legend.
