BLOG: Russell excited about contract term

Kris Russell's National Hockey League career has been somewhat nomadic.
He's played for five teams during his tenure in the League but with his new four-year contract, he's been assured that Edmonton is home.
"Obviously, getting some term is really exciting for me and my family," said Russell, an Alberta boy hailing from Caroline, AB.
"We're looking forward to getting back to work in Edmonton."
Russell noted that he's gotten a good start on his off-season training knowing he won't have to worry about contract negotiations. He also said he'll most likely spend the few summer months in Alberta.
"I'm just more of a home body in the summer," Russell said. "I travel enough during the winter."
