WASHINGTON, DC - Off the top of his head, Cam Talbot remembers the last time he didn't start two consecutive games for the Oilers.
"Four years ago," the netminder said Sunday at the MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Washington, DC. "My first year here when (Anders) Nilsson was playing.
"It's been a while."
That was the case this past week when backup Mikko Koskinen got the nod against the Chicago Blackhawks at Rogers Place on Thursday - posting a 40-save 4-0 shutout - then manned the pipes again on Saturday versus the Detroit Red Wings in Edmonton's 4-3 victory.
