EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers resumed team activities on Wednesday with a practice at Rogers Place as the club prepares to get back into action Saturday versus the Ottawa Senators.
Connor McDavid, Tyson Barrie and Derek Ryan were all on the ice and William Lagesson, who blocked a shot against the Toronto Maple Leafs, was also a participant in the skate.
Ryan Nugent Hopkins (lower-body injury) did not practice and Kyle Turris was placed on COVID-19 Protocol, joining Kailer Yamamoto, Evan Bouchard, Warren Foegele, Slater Koekkoek, Brendan Perlini, Tyler Benson, Ilya Konovalov and Dylan Holloway.
Head Coach Dave Tippett provided an update on the players he is expecting to bring back into the mix in the coming days. "I think it's Yamamoto and Koekkoek tomorrow, if their tests go right, that we can add to the group. And then the next day (Friday) it's another two in Perlini and Bouch," he said.
