The NHL has postponed the game between the Buffalo Sabres and Columbus Blue Jackets scheduled for Tuesday at Nationwide Arena in Columbus due to the continued severe winter weather in Buffalo.

No makeup date for the game has been announced.
A weather system the National Weather Service called a "once-in-a-lifetime event" that became a "bomb cyclone," crippled holiday travel and caused hazardous winter conditions across the country. Buffalo received up to four feet of snow during blizzard-like conditions during the weekend and officials are expecting up to 12 more inches before Tuesday afternoon. A driving ban remains in effect in Buffalo, and Buffalo Niagara International Airport will remain closed until Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET.
Buffalo is scheduled to host the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday and play at the Boston Bruins on New Year's Eve to begin a three-game road trip.
The Sabres game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Dec. 23 at KeyBank Center in Buffalo was postponed and rescheduled for March 4. Buffalo's game against the Philadelphia Flyers originally scheduled for March 4 now will be played Jan. 9.
The NHL previously announced the game between the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators on Dec. 23 at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa was rescheduled for Feb. 27.
The Red Wings and Senators already were scheduled to play at Ottawa on Feb. 28, meaning they will now play there on back-to-back nights.
