BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Calder Cup Playoffs are coming back to Condorstown.
The Bakersfield Condors clinched a berth in the Calder Cup Playoffs on Wednesday night with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Colorado Eagles, becoming only the second AHL team to punch their ticket to the postseason in each of the last four seasons.
Calvin Pickard stopped all 27 shots, while defenceman Alex Peters delivered a pair of goals in the clinching victory that was Bakersfield's third in a row and 15th home win in their last 19 games at Mechanics Bank Arena. Forward Dylan Holloway stretched his point streak to five games with an assist and now has three goals and two assists in six AHL games since returning from a month-long stint on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
