BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Condors solidified their coaching staff on Friday ahead of the 2021-22 American Hockey League (AHL) season with the naming of Colin Chaulk as an assistant coach.
The 44-year-old joins Head Coach Jay Woodcroft and Assistant Coach Dave Manson behind the bench for the Condors, where he'll work primarily with the club's forward group.
"We would like to welcome Colin, his wife Jillian, and daughters Ava and Caprie to the Bakersfield Condors organization," said Woodcroft. "He brings with him years of playing experience, professional coaching bonafides, and a has a proven track record of helping young forwards move up the hockey ladder. We are excited to add a coach of this calibre to our program."
Chaulk most recently served as an assistant coach in the AHL with the Belleville Senators in 2019-20, helping capture their first division title in team history with a club-best .643 win percentage and 38-20-4-1 record. Prior to joining the Senators, the Toronto, Ontario product was the head coach of the ECHL's Brampton Beast for four seasons (2015-19) and an assistant coach with the Kalamazoo Wings (2013-15) and Fort Wayne Komets (2012-13).
A 15-year playing career across six leagues in North America and Europe for Chaulk is headlined by a decade with the Fort Wayne Komets, where he won five titles and had his number 91 retired in 2017 after ranking third all-time for points with the organization.

The 44-year-old will work primarily with Bakersfield's forward group after last serving as an assistant coach with the Belleville Senators
