EDMONTON, AB - Raphael Lavoie is starting 2021 the way he finished 2020 - scoring regularly.
The Oilers forward prospect finished the calendar year on a two-game goal streak and proceeded to make it three in a row on Wednesday as Vasby opened January with a 3-2 shootout loss to MODO.
Lavoie lit the lamp in the middle frame for his 14th tally in his 29th game of the HockeyAllsvenskan season and currently sits in a three-way tie for third in the league. He also has eight assists for 22 total points.
The 2019 second-round (38th overall) draft pick had a four-game goal streak earlier this season so he'll look to match that mark in Vasby's next action on Friday against Sodertalje, Evan Bouchard's former team. The defence prospect has returned to Edmonton for Oilers Training Camp, while Lavoie will play the full season in the Swedish league.
Recently-signed Oilers blueline prospect Phil Kemp joined Lavoie with Vasby at the end of November and has recorded one goal and one assist in nine games thus far.
