EDMONTON, AB - Oilers forward prospect Carter Savoie has been selected as a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award given each season to the top player in NCAA men's hockey.
Edmonton's 2020 fourth-round, 100th-overall selection leads the University of Denver Pioneers in goals with 12 and ranks second in points with 22 in 16 games this season.
The St. Albert native is tied for third in all of college hockey in goals per game (0.75), while his 22 points are the most among all NCAA players that have played 16 games or less.

This is the second year in a row an Oilers draft pick has been nominated for the award, as Dylan Holloway was selected for his 2020-21 campaign with the University of Wisconsin.
