HALIFAX, NS - Spruce Grove's own and Edmonton Oilers prospect Reid Schaefer will return from the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship adorned in gold.
Team Canada staved off a resilient Czechia in overtime 3-2 at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax to win their second consecutive gold medal at the tournament after taking the title at Rogers Place this past summer over Finland -- a final that also went to overtime.
