EDMONTON, AB - Oilers prospect Tyler Tullio is making the most of his new found opportunity.
The Oilers prospect scored his fourth goal of the season on Saturday night, in the Bakersfield Condors 5-4 defeat to the Colorado Eagles.
The Oilers fifth-round pick in 2020 (126th overall) is stepping up in the absence of some of Bakersfield's top player like Brad Malone, James Hamblin, and Tyler Benson who were called up to help supplement a banged up Oilers forward group. After a slow start adjusting to pro hockey, Tullio has points in four of his last five contests --- as well as 13 shots-on-goal over that period. Overall on the season, the Detroit, Michigan native has seven points in 17 AHL games.
The 20-year-old is coming off a dynamic season in junior with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, where Tullio lead the team with 86 points (42G, 44A) in just 65 games.
