FIRST PERIOD
.0: END OF 1 | Toronto 2, Edmonton 0. The Leafs will have 33 seconds of power-play time on the other side of the intermission. The shots in the first period end 10-6 in favour of Toronto.
27: Another man advantage coming for the Leafs as Evander Kane gets his stick caught under the right skate blade of Conor Timmins.
46: Toronto goes two-up. Nylander puts a sweet redirection on Timothy Liljegren's low shot from the point on the power play. 2-0 Leafs.
03: The first call against Edmonton comes after Darnell Nurse took out William Nylander before the puck arrived on the forward's stick. The Oilers are 0-for-2 power play so far and now the Leafs are heading to their first man advantage.
13: Tavares tries to get around Bouchard after the blueliner gives up the puck at the blueline, but the referee calls the Leafs captain for holding. The Oilers head to their second power play!
29: William Nylander makes one too many moves on a pretty passing play from Toronto in Edmonton's zone. The Leafs winger is sitting on 38 goals this season.
32: Skinner makes two good pad saves on Max Domi and Matthew Knies in tight.
29: Hyman lets go of a shot in the right circle that trickles through Ilya Samsonov in the crease for Toronto, but defenceman Jake McCabe pushes it back under his netminder.
43: Maple Leafs goal. The Oilers leave the front of the net unoccupied and Tavares makes a good reverse pass to McMann, who was alone in front and beat Skinner over the right pad. 1-0 Toronto.
14: The first time the Maple Leafs touch the puck, the referee is blowing the play down for a tripping penalty on Matthew Knies against Connor McDavid. It all started with an excellent faceoff win and zone entry by Leon Draisaitl before the captain drew the call.
