The Oilers host the Kraken & chase their 12th win in a row

THIRD PERIOD

0.0: THAT'S A DOZEN DUBS! For the eighth time this win streak, the Oilers come from behind and claim their 12th straight victory to extend their franchise-record win streak even further. Leon Draisaitl leads the line with a goal and three assists, while Warren Foegele contributes two goals in a 4-2 victory as the game's First Star. If it can get any more exciting, Edmonton now heads down Highway 2 to try and piush the streak to lucky No. 13 in the Battle of Alberta against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

2:38: HYMAN HAS THE INSURANCE! Yanni Gourde's five-minute major for boarding allows Edmonton's power play to set up and extend their advantage to 4-2 with a Zach Hyman back-door tally off the feed from Connor McDavid. That's 27 goals this year for the heart & soul winger, and an assist for Draisaitl makes it a four-point night for him.

Hyman closes out the 4-2 Oilers win with a power-play goal

11:24: Darnell Nurse hauls down Will Borgen entering Seattle's zone for an interference penalty. A big penalty kill coming up for the Oilers.

20:00: The third period is underway!

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: A great response period from the Oilers have them tracking towards extending this streak, but they're going to need to close it down on the Kraken in the final frame with a 3-2 lead.

1:55: NO GOAL - KRAKEN! Alex Wennbarg converts Joey Daccord's full-ice pass, but Seattle was well offside from making a line change and the Oilers coaching staff saw it a mile away. Edmonton remains up 3-2 with that assist from Coach Knoblauch.

2:17: Skinner makes a terrible pad stop on his old teammate, Kailer Yamamoto, who received a one-timer in the slot.

12:22: ANOTHER FOE-GOAL! In only 7:38 of the second period, Edmonton has completely flipped the script on Seattle who'll now take a timeout to regroup from giving up their two-goal lead. Foegele gets sprung on a breakaway of his own that he finishes off past Daccord for his second tally of the night and ninth goal this season. 3-2 Edmonton.

Foegele fires a shot past Daccord on a breakaway to make it 3-2

15:22: LEON LIFT! The Oilers power play puts us right back where we started by making it 2-2. Draisaitl made a smart pass in front to Zach Hyman, who had his initial shot stopped by Joey Daccord before the rebound popped out on the right side for the German to put off the Kraken's backside and over the line for his 22nd goal this season. With an assist already tonight, No. 29 has a multi-point game to his name.

Draisaitl banks a shot off Daccord & in for the PP equalizer

19:33: THAT'S HOW YOU ANSWER! Just 37 seconds into the new period, Warren Foegele squeaks eighth goal of the season under Joey Daccord's right arm to make it 2-1 after Leon Draisaitl delivered the turn-around shot on goal to create the rebound. Evander Kane gets the secondary helper, which is a major boon for the Blue & Orange after he was a game-time decision for tonight.

Foegele finishes a rebound from a Draisaitl shot for his 8th

20:00: The second period is underway!

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: The Kraken lead by two after 20 minutes with a steady dose of pucks behind the defence in transition. Work to do for the Oilers to keep the win streak running.

6:28: A second for Seattle. The Kraken get behind Edmonton's defence again, but this time it's Jared McCann finishing off an open look over the right shoulder of Stuart Skinner. Just like that, it's 2-0 for the visitors and the Oilers have to regroup to come back in this one.

10:11: First crack to the Kraken. McDavid makes a nice move at the other end that's foiled before Eeli Tolvanen is sprung on a breakaway by Oliver Bjorkstand, which is converted by the Swede into the top corner. 1-0 Seattle.

17:33: The Oilers penalty kill is forced into action in the first few minutes on a Zach Hyman delay of game penalty, but they're up to the early challenge.

20:00: GAME ON!!!

20:00: The First period from Rogers Place is set to begin at 7:07 p.m. MT.
