There's no better feeling than knowing when you're in the right place at the right time.
That may very well be the case for Oilers forward - and newly appointed Captain - Connor McDavid.
"I think I'm just excited about wearing the 'C' for the Oilers and being a part of this group here and the hope that we have for the season," said McDavid.

One of the most important aspects of filling the role as captain is what a player has to bring to it.
According to Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan, McDavid's makeup is exactly what the coaching staff was looking for, and he proved that on February 2, the night he returned from a 12-week absence, recovering from a broken collarbone he sustained on November 3, 2015, in a game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
"That first game back he showed that he was ready to take charge and that he was ready to play, and at that point, his play evolved," said McLellan.
"He was confident, the way he carried himself in the locker room, the way he interacted with his teammates through some of the meetings at the end of the season. Players that aren't ready don't share a lot. He's very open with us and we're very open with him. At that point, it was real evident he was ready to lead this group."
