The Twitter portion of the
2023 NHL All-Star Fan Vote
presented by Guaranteed Rate began Thursday at 12:01 a.m. ET and runs through Saturday at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The All-Star Fan Vote will determine the final three players (two skaters, one goalie) for each of the four divisions -- Metropolitan, Atlantic, Central and Pacific.
On Twitter, fans can make their All-Star Game picks by using the hashtag #NHLAllStarVote followed by the player's full name, or twitter handle or another hashtag with the player's full name. Only referencing a player's last name will not count as a vote.
Fans must have an active and public Twitter account, and retweets or replies of tweets which include the #NHLAllStarVote hashtag and any of the above player's name combinations will also count as one vote.

The Twitter vote will be combined with the NHL online vote at
NHL.com/vote
, where fans can select as few as one player and as many as 12 per ballot (two skaters, one goalie per division).
Online voting closes Jan. 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET and the players selected will be revealed Jan. 19.
Under the new voting format, fans will select the 12 remaining players as opposed to eight. In previous seasons, fan-elected captains were voted before the NHL hockey operations department chose the remaining rosters (not limited to one player per team) and fans chose a final player (Last Men In) for each team.
"Thanks to our passionate fans, the All-Star Fan Vote is one of the NHL's top fan engagement programs," NHL chief marketing officer Heidi Browning said. "Each season, we look for opportunities to evolve the program to maximize fan engagement and attract new fans to participate.
"After reviewing campaign data and fan feedback from recent All-Star Fan Vote campaigns, we noted that our fans want the opportunity to have more influence on our All-Star Roster selection. We expanded the number of players on the ballots and introduced social voting opportunities for the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Fan Vote presented by Guaranteed Rate."
The
initial rosters for the Honda NHL All-Star Weekend
were selected by hockey operations, who chose one player from each of the 32 NHL teams, and were revealed Jan. 5.
The All-Star Game will take place at FLA LIVE Arena on Feb. 4 (3 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, CBC, SN, TVAS). The All-Star Skills presented by DraftKings will take place Feb. 3 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN, ESPN+, SN, TVAS).
The All-Star Game will feature a three-game tournament, played in a 3-on-3 format and showcasing teams from each NHL division. Each of the four teams will include nine skaters and two goalies.
Rod Brind'Amour of the Carolina Hurricanes (Metropolitan), Jim Montgomery of the Boston Bruins (Atlantic), Peter DeBoer of the Dallas Stars (Central) and Bruce Cassidy of the Vegas Golden Knights (Pacific) were selected as coaches, as their teams had the best points percentage in their respective divisions through games on Jan. 11, when the NHL hit the official midpoint of the season.
