EDMONTON, AB - The Oil Kings will clash with their closest geographical rival in the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs as their series against the Red Deer Rebels is set to begin Thursday night at Rogers Place.
The first two games will be in Edmonton on Thursday and Saturday, both at 7pm MT, with tickets now available via Ticketmaster. Game 5 will be back at Rogers Place, if necessary, on May 13.
The Eastern Conference's second-seeded Oil Kings swept the seventh-ranked Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-0 in their first-round series, while the third-seeded Rebels got past the sixth-ranked Brandon Wheat Kings 4-2 in a series that almost went the full seven-game distance.
