EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers officially begin their NHL regular season at Rogers Place on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks.
Forward Kailer Yamamoto, who is still nursing an undisclosed injury sustained during the preseason, will be a game-time decision along with Warren Foegele tonight. based on morning line rushes, Jesse Puljujarvi will fill the right-wing top line role alongside Connor McDavid and Evander Kane if the Seattle, Wash. native can't go tonight.
Ahead of tonight's game, the Oilers loaned defenceman Philip Broberg to the Bakersfield Condors and recalled forward Devin Shore. Shore is expected to centre the fourth line with veteran Derek Ryan and Brad Malone.
Between the pipes, Jack Campbell will make his first official start as a member of the Edmonton Oilers.
