EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers are welcoming 37 players including 16 draft picks to Edmonton this week for the team's first Development Camp since 2019.
The four goalies, 12 defencemen and 21 forwards will participate in medicals, fitness testing, on-ice sessions, team-building activities and the Billy Moores Cup on Thursday at 6pm MT, which will be streamed on EdmontonOilers.com as well as the team's Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels.
Edmonton's two most recent first-round draft picks, forward Xavier Bourgault (22nd overall, 2021) and forward Reid Schaefer (32nd overall, 2022), will be in attendance, as well as additional 2022 selections, goaltender Samuel Johnsson (158th overall) and forward Joel Määttä (220th overall).
The camp roster also includes a pair of recent college free agent signings in goaltender Ryan Fanti (University of Minnesota Duluth) and forward Noah Philp (University of Alberta).
