EDMONTON, AB - Connor McDavid has been selected as a finalist for the 2021-22 Ted Lindsay Award, given "to the most outstanding player in the NHL" as voted by fellow members of the NHLPA.
The Players' Association announced Friday morning the three top vote-getters for this season's award, including McDavid, Toronto's Auston Matthews and Nashville's Roman Josi.
The Oilers captain is looking to receive his second consecutive and fourth Ted Lindsay Award in six seasons, having already won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer. McDavid is also a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy alongside Matthews and New York's Igor Shesterkin.
