COLUMBUS, OH – The Edmonton Oilers have made a pair of trades to acquire forwards Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick, the rights to goaltender Ty Taylor and a 2024 seventh-round draft pick.

Trade 1: The Anaheim Ducks have traded Henrique to the Tampa Bay Lightning and will retain 50 percent of his salary in exchange for the rights to Taylor.

Trade 2: Tampa Bay has traded Henrique to the Oilers and will retain 50 percent of his salary in exchange for a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft that will become a fourth-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft if Edmonton does not win the Stanley Cup this season.

Trade 3: Edmonton has acquired Carrick and the rights to Taylor from Anaheim along with a seventh-round selection in the 2024 Draft in exchange for the Oilers first-round selection in 2024 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2025. If the Oilers win the Stanley Cup, the Ducks will instead receive Edmonton's fourth-round pick in 2025. Anaheim will also retain 50 percent of Carrick’s salary.

Henrique has played 890 career NHL games plus 28 more in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, scoring 257 goals and 264 assists in the regular season as well as five goals and eight assists in post-season play.

The 34-year-old centreman was selected in third round (82nd overall) by New Jersey at the 2008 NHL Draft, with 24 of his 28 career playoff games and all 13 post-season points coming with the Devils in 2012 when they advanced to the Stanley Cup Final.

Henrique has scored 18 goals and 24 assists in 60 games with the Ducks this season.

Carrick is a veteran of 224 career NHL games with 26 goals and 22 assists. The 32-year-old was selected in the fifth round (144th overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 201 NHL Draft.

The centreman has played 61 games with Anaheim this season, scoring eight goals and three assists.
