DALLAS, TX -The Edmonton Oilers have acquired goaltender Hayden Hawkey from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a fifth round selection in the 2019 NHL Draft.
Hawkey, 23, has just completed his junior season at Providence College (Hockey East), posting a 2.04 GAA, a .919 save percentage, while compiling a 24-12-3 record.
The 6'2", 181-pound netminder was originally selected by Montreal in the sixth round, 177th overall, at the 2014 NHL Draft.
