The Oilers October home schedule is loaded with marquee matchups. The Oilers will host the Nashville Predators on October 20, Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 23 and the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals on October 25 before finishing the month against the Minnesota Wild on October 30.
To begin the month of November, the Oilers host the Chicago Blackhawks on November 1 and the Colorado Avalanche on November 11, before taking on the historic, Original Six Montreal Canadiens on November 13. The Vegas Golden Knights will return to Rogers Place on November 18, followed by the Dallas Stars on November 27 and the Los Angeles Kings on November 29.
Edmonton will also play host to several other exciting matchups to round out the 2018-19 season at Rogers Place. The provincial rival Calgary Flames will visit Edmonton on December 9. The Winnipeg Jets will face the Oilers in a New Year's Eve game on December 31 for the third straight year. Jack Eichel and the Buffalo Sabres will make their sole visit to Rogers Place on January 14, The Oilers will host one of the iconic Canadian franchises, the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 9 and another iconic franchise, the New York Rangers on March 11.
The Oilers will play 29 games against their Pacific Division rivals (Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks and Vegas Golden Knights). Edmonton will play each divisional opponent four times, with the exception of the San Jose Sharks, who they will face five times.
The Oilers will play three games against each of the remaining teams in the Western Conference for a total of 21 games. Edmonton also plays in 18 back-to-back games this season and 9 afternoon games.
Rounding out their 82-game schedule, the Oilers will play 32 games against Eastern Conference opponents, which will see the teams play one home and one away game.
The Oilers will make one five-game road trip in 2018-19 from February 25 to March 4 (Nashville, Toronto, Ottawa, Columbus, Buffalo).
The team will host two five-game homestands this season at Rogers Place from December 18 to December 31 and March 21 to March 30.
The Oilers will play their final home game against the San Jose Sharks on April 4 and close out the 2018-19 schedule on the road against their division rivals, the Calgary Flames April 6.
