RELEASE: Oilers assign Berglund to Linkoping HC

Defenceman signed entry-level contract in May, scored 20 points in 52 games with Skelleftea AIK last season

EDMONTON, AB -The Edmonton Oilers have assigned defenceman Filip Berglund to Linkoping HC of the Swedish Hockey League for the 2020-21 season.
Berglund, 23, completed his fourth season with Skelleftea AIK in the SHL in 2019-20, posting 20 points (5G, 15A), 16 penalty minutes and a +4 plus-minus rating in 52 games.
The 6'3", 206-pound blueliner has appeared in 200 career SHL games, registering 53 points (10G, 43A), 80 penalty minutes and a +20 plus-minus rating. He has also appeared in 31 playoff games, registering four assists, 12 penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.
A native of Skelleftea, Berglund was selected 91st overall by Edmonton at the 2016 NHL Draft.
