EDMONTON, AB - Hockey Edmonton and the Edmonton Oilers are proud to announce an innovative partnership between the two long-standing organizations that will revolutionize elite hockey in Edmonton -- establishing a pinnacle stream program.
Commencing with the 2022-23 season, Hockey Edmonton's two male U18 AAA teams will be named the Edmonton Junior Oilers. These two teams will promise elite player and coach development and promotion through programming guided by Hockey Edmonton's four pillars of player development: technical-tactical, physical, mental, and life skills. Hockey Edmonton will also ensure that academics are at the forefront and that player fees/budgets are affordable and effective for families.
The Oilers will provide access to world-class resources for both the teams including, but not limited to, apparel and equipment, player and coach development opportunities, and facility support.
